I upgraded Y12 markers to Y37 markers and have just received new STR results. Do you know any predictor which will allow me to roughly predict my subclade? I guess that something more than "R1b-M269" can be deduced from 37 markers? If not then I will order SNP Pack.

CTS623 subclade of R-M269 - anthrogenica.com
Hi All, My haplotree (and presumably many others) at FTDNA shows a weird "clade" ( CTS623 ) in between R-P297 and R-M269. I tested negative for CTS623 and the other six SNPs associated with it). However, ISOGG shows CTS623 as being part of R-M269. I assume CTS623 is therefore actually a subclade WITHIN R-M269.

The process of reviewing comparisons of NGS results involves "weeding" out SNPs. The challenge is generally not having enough SNPs, but identifying the ones that appear to be shared, stable and easily testable.
