2020年6月28日 · I have an M1A standard loaded and I’m thinking of trading for a SOCOM 16” but I’ve read mixed reviews on accuracy of the SOCOM. Some say your lucky to get 2” at 100yds and some say theirs is “extremely accurate”. Looking for some honest feedback with someone who has had both and your thoughts??

2022年1月19日 · This is an interesting discussion. I recently had my first experience working with a SOCOM. I re-barreled it with a Criterion barrel and used a Delta-P gas lock front sight with a Surefire muzzle brake. It differs greatly from other SOCOM gas locks and may, perhaps shortcut the user to the point where Johnb is now.

2009年6月6日 · I have a kickin' Socom16, and have only used Irons. I'm thinking about taking a tactical class, and they recommend using a red dot scope (which means, I have to add a cheek rest). My question is, what is the best red dot scope set up with the Socom? My main concern is that I don't want to have to re-set my zero on the scope after 100+ rds.

2022年10月6日 · To me, getting a 16" bbl is to go small and light. So going with a heavy and complicated stock would be against that axiom. Wood looks nice and is strong, fiberglass is the strongest, folding stock is the smallest and lightest.

2015年3月22日 · Just before the Socom came out, SAI acquired a bunch of retread USGI fiberglass stocks. Most had repairs. They were too crappy to use as-is, so SAI sprayed them with black krinkle paint to cover the defects. The stocks with checkering were used on the Loaded models, while the ones without checkering (early USGI) ended up on the Socom's.
