2021年3月13日 · Looks cool - I feel like the depth of the back foot is lost when you add a dark outline to the top of it. In the first example here, the white middle part of the goomba looks more clearly in front of the back stepping foot — maybe skip the outline there

2019年5月7日 · I recreated the goomba sprite and edited it a little bit to turn it more round and flat. Not 100% on the result but simplicity is key in a game style like this. I'm not sure if I used the right flair 0_0 I'm making a few more like an NES Pokey and an SNES Boom Boom. Just joined the community btw, heard it was really nice. SO HYPED FOR SMM2!

2019年5月7日 · Here are my custom sprites for Goombrats I created for the SMB1 and SMB3 gamestyles for Super Mario Maker 2, since they were confirmed to be in the SMW style. I tried to keep faithful to the original Goomba sprites and 8 bit limitations. What do you guys think?

The original goomba sprite was just an edit of the mushroom power up sprite. Goombas were added late in SMBs development, so they needed a simple enemy that didnt add a substantial amount of memory to the game. So we got the goomba. They were able to create a simple walking animation for the goomba by simply reversing it's sprite as it moved.
