New iPhone 15 stuck on iOS 18 Update - Apple Community
Sep 23, 2024 · Transferring from iPhone 11 to newly purchased iPhone 15 forced me to upgrade to iOS 18 in my new iPhone. ios upgrade got stuck for 5 hours. Repeated factory reset and retry the same process resulted in same issue. iOS 18 update is not complete in all retries. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Sep 20, 2024 · The phone will factory reset to start from the beginning. Don’t connect the old device right away. Until Apple fixes it hopefully with iOS 18.1, the workaround is to push through setup and skip everything without transferring anything. Once you get to the Home Screen, go to settings > general > software update.
