2018年2月9日 · Anybody have a good set of dimensions to use to make my own j/S hook bender? Just need to know pin size and spacing between the pins. Assuming between 0.204 and 0.240 between two pins that are about 1/4". I would just like to have confirmation of what works for folks before I put the effort into fabrication. Thank you!

You can buy 100 J-Hooks for around $12 or a 5lb box of 20d commons for around $13 at Home Depot. So you're not really saving much making your own.. I've made J-Hooks and S-Hooks with the Custer tool - it's a great little tool - but I haven't used them on my coyote traps. You'll also want to get the "Heavy Duty J-Hook Tool."

2019年12月5日 · Here are a few pic's. This first one is with a J hook 285lbs BAD. If you look you bend the cable back against the natural curve Then load and the loc lays right. The next 3 pics are of one with a S hook 525lbs BAD. In order for the loc to lay right I bend the cable to the left or right of the natural curve then load it. Hope that helps.

2021年10月23日 · Just hook the chain or cable into the chain hook and lift up and they will come out without any problem. If they freeze in the ground then I'll just wait untill spring. I use a 4' piece of 1" pipe and a 12" piece of 1" pipe welded to make a tee with a chain hook welded 12" above the T. Works for me.
