1998年10月3日 · It is inexpensive. Fits the hand well. It can be purchased in ATS-34. Bad points: the huge ricasso is unnecessary; the handle is too long and seems out of proportion to the blade; and the slot cut-out for thumb opening is difficult to engage. For those to whom it matters, it consistently fails the spine whack test.

Messages. 801. Apr 15, 2003. #2. The Gerber EZ out ( not ATS 34) was my first try at a replacement to my old Buck 110 for a working blade. I was working on a moose digging out a bullet,lodged in between some ribs and the blade folded on me. Gave me a nasty cut. It is the only folder ever did that.

1998年10月18日 · The steel of the Gerber E-Z-OUT is 425 stainless steel. The number engraved on many Gerber's and Buck's is not the blade material, but in fact the model number. Most Buck and Gerber's use 425 steel now, so unless it's clearly stated to be different, you can assume that it is 425. As for my EZ-OUT... I still carry it.

2010年2月9日 · ATS-34, Gerber E-Z-out from the 90's, takes a good edge, holds it a bit longer then my AUS8 knives, relatively easy to touch up. BG-42, SOG X-42 Autoclip 2003 special edition, Takes a wicked edge, holds it for a long time, if it gets dull, it take a sometime to bring the edge back. I learned to touch it up before the edge gets to un-sharp.

2003年7月11日 · Kershaw Vapor - with combo edge to see how the plain and serrated edge coped, and a Gerber ATS-34 E-Z-Out to see how a premium steel would perform. Note I was NOT interested in cutting until the blades became too dull to cut any further. I merely wanted to see with a few limited cuts how the blade edges looked under the 30x microscope.

2000年3月23日 · I forgot to mention that I have been carring a Gerber E-Z-OUT in ATS-34 for 2 1/2 years. The handle is Zytel and it has a steel pocket clip. The Zytel handle has held up very well, (looks almost brand new) even to light prying. So, I know that Zytel is strong stuff. My main complaint with the E-Z-OUT is the steel clip.
