Riverside Machine shop (Uncle Al's) has a nice press at a reasonable price. If budget is an issue you can build a hydraulic mini forging press for under $500 if you have an air compressor.

2023年6月26日 · The inside dimension of the press will be 10" wide. I have some 1"x2 wide bar stock that will be the guide rails. They will lay flat against the angle on each side with a piece of 8"x7-15/16"x1.25" welded to the 1x2 guide rail bars. Two of those will be bolted through the middle slide plate.

2020年2月3日 · The best hydraulic system I have ever seen for a limited-power forging press is the Anyang design, which uses a swash-plate pump with variable displacement. At low pressure, the pump is at full stroke and the ram moves fast. As the resistance increases, the pump stroke decreases, the ram speed decreases and the pressure developed increases.

2019年11月5日 · There is a feedback loop in the circuit, that adjusts the displacement of the pump. This makes it more like an auto transmission, rather than a 2 speed with a massive gap in the gears. Try and have a look at one, they act like presses with 3x the horsepower under a lot of forging conditions!

2016年3月31日 · I talked to someone and they paid around $3600 for theirs. I want to make my own for a lot cheaper and I've seen guides to do it for fairly cheap. (Under $200) I want it to be foot operated if possible. You would step on a pedal or something and it'll press, release your foot and it goes back up ready to press again.
