They have a similar robotic, electronic sound. Not quite as heavy as the Doom sound track (not a lot is), but I believe Tony Campos, their bassist, worked on some tracks for the game.

Meshuggah is great, and they're probably the only polyrhythmic band closely associated with the Doom OST. Periphery is another "djent band" that OP would stumble upon and has very little in common with Doom's tracks.
