Built in blackstone griddle questions. I am thinking about building in a 36" blackstone griddle into my outdoor kitchen. I have seen a few examples here, @grege345, @jdkeithbge -- I'd like to do some planning. I have a few questions -- and anyone else that might have done something similar, I am interested in your experiences. 1.

Removing the base from the granite will be very difficult if it's built in. You'll get at least 1 crack in the XL base that you'll need to replace, so I'd leave the front counter open for easier access. I think the built in looks nicer. The open space makes a lot of sense though.

36" Blackstone Griddle built-in to BGE table. I have recently purchased a 36" Blackstone griddle, wife will not be thrilled (YOLO). I have built a table for my BGE. I was wondering if anyone has one incorporated into their BGE table/outdoor kitchen. Trying to come up with inspiration to make it look like it is part of the table.

I have grand plans to have someone fabricate a stainless steel cover for it, but in the meantime purchased a soft cover for a 36" built-in grill. It's a little too big but does the job of keeping water off for now. For those that are interested I will follow-up with outdoor kitchen details on a separate post later this week.

Here's a rough draft of the outdoor kitchen layout I'm thinking about building. The concrete pad is 14x14 with water, electric and sewer drain. I have a sink, frig, propane single burner and a large and small BGE in the design. Any ideas or suggestions could be helpful. Anyone have an outdoor kitchen in a L shape design.

June 2018. I have been considering making a table that can hold not just my EGG but also my 36" blackstone. Have any of yall built yours into a table like this? Trying to make some decisions on whether or not I want the griddle to be flush with the table top like the first picture or above like the second. Large & 36" Blackstone.
