2012年1月5日 · The primary difference is the sights. The newer 92FS comes with a pretty nice set of white dot sights, while the M9 has slightly smaller, plain black sights. Some M9's have metal guide rods, but all of the M9's I've dealt with in the Army have had plastic guide rods, same as the 92FS. Pretty much the same pistol.

2009年4月13日 · As pointed out earlier, the plastic parts on a 92FS are plastic coated metal. The plastic guide rod is is designed to be an improvement for the M9. It has a grove which prevents debris (sand) from binding the recoil spring. It also will not bend if the pistol is dropped with the slide dropped, or if a soldier hits the ground with the slide back.

2018年1月19日 · Beretta has been making firearms for over 600 years. Longer than any other firearms manufacturer. To me, the essence of a Beretta is it's heritage. That means Made In Italy. Many Beretta's are now manufactured in the USA. That's fine and dandy. If given a choice / opportunity, I'll always go with an Italian made Beretta.

I don't have a kit (there are 2 one from beretta and one aftermarrket) Beretta kit is a little pricy for just a slide barrel and mag, so for a .22 I got Norinco Woodsman knockoff for less than 1/2 the price. But I would love to have a .22kit for my 92...

2015年12月22日 · A 92FS has 3 dot sights opposed to the 2 dots on an M9. The 92FS has a radius cut into the top of the grip, under the beavertail. An M9 does not. And the 92FS has a slanted dust cover/frame. The M9 has a straight one.

2012年2月20日 · And, the slide is a little thicker on the 92A1 in a few spots. The slide from the 92A1 will not fit on a 92FS frame (it will fit on a 90-Two frame,, though. The 92A1 is basically a 90-Two (the improvements they made) with a standard grip that can use regular beretta grips (the one complainT I have of the 90-Two is no aftermarket rubber grips).

2014年6月18日 · Updating this really old thread because this is what comes up high in google for people who are looking for information about 2-dot versus 3-dot sights on a beretta 92fs or m9, and so it would be nice to have the answer here. I found the answer, after first reading this thread, so for others like me who find this thread, here goes:

2011年1月2日 · The M9's Dust cover is Straight And the 92FS Has a Curved Dust Cover. (The dust cover is on the front of the lower reciever). The Dust cover test only works on Beretta's From the Mid 90's To Present Day Pistols. The Back Strap On the Grip Of the M9 Is Constantly Slightly Curving And the 92FS has a straightness to the grip (Very Hard to Notice).
