For all those needing prop repair - DO NOT use ACME
Dec 5, 2005 · 1.) They do the prop repair - WRONG, they send it out. The guy I was dealing with, would say WE do the most ACME prop repairs in the business and WE inspect them yada, yada, yada. Well, come to find out, talking to this guy further, they they send them out to some third party repair shop . They only manufacture props there, no prop repair. 2.)

Jul 22, 2024 · Thanks again for the plethora of prop shop options. Sent the prop in on 7/19 to Prop Depot, got it back yesterday 8/7. About a 13 day turn around not counting weekends, and we did ship it out on a Friday. Not light speed, but I'm sure this is the grand height of prop repair season. Unnnfortunately, prop still had a ding on one of the blades.

Jan 10, 2014 · New or repaired Acme 422 prop. First post, lurking so far! Our family picked up a new to us '98 SNOB at the end of the season last year. Great shape and low hours. Trying to do some work in the off season to get ready for spring. Currently has stock OJ prop and decided a spare was a good idea.

Jul 27, 2010 · ACME just repaired my prop which had dingers on all 4 blades. Two blades were pretty bad. Just got it back, looks great!!! They charged $153 which includes return shipping in a new prop box. Very satisfied so far.

May 9, 2009 · They just send them out to a repair shop anyway. He sent two Acme props in for repairs, the repaired props vibrated worse after the repairs. They don't re-mill the CNC props, all prop repairs are done by bending, welding, hammering the blades then polishing and balancing. Any Acme prop without the cnc corduroy is a prop that has been repaired.
