If your liver resection was done laparoscopic and no chemo, after 8-12 weeks you should be able to proceed back to your normal life. My husband’s surgery was kinda laparoscopic, robot fingers went in thru his naval and clipped of the left lobe of his liver.

My doctor here referred me to Mayo since mine keeps growing as he said I need to look into liver resection and Mayo was the closest surgeon for liver hemangiomas. My doctor here isn't sure why mine keeps growing.

Why is my CEA level normal, but I was diagnosed as colon cancer?
2023年7月12日 · Mine was 3b colorectal. Sigmoid resection. It went outside the parameters. Did nothing. Had a few rounds of 5fu till oral. Requested a PET scan with normal CEA. It had metastasized to liver. Resection of liver and a yr of chemo. CTs every 3 and blood. Colonoscopies every 2 yrs. End of yr will be 5 years.
