2023年4月7日 · Huh. I’ve never spent less than 1000$ for an “oil change”. It always ends up being ~250$ for the oil change, 250$ for the scope/inspection, spark plugs, engine treatment, wipers, filters, etc etc etc. Last time it was 3,000$ for brakes, rotors, and brake fluid flush too. Granted, these are San Francisco prices.

Change oil every 8K miles, yes $180 is about right. Fully synthetic oil and filter with new drain plug plus labor. You can do all this yourself though for under $100. (Oil itself costs $60-80) BMW dealerships will charge maybe between $180-230 for their services.

2023年6月18日 · Finally got a quote from a local BMW dealership in San Jose, oil change is around $200. I will probably not be using the dealership for oil changes. I just do it myself in Oakland but debated taking it to the jiffy lube lol. They have a special where you pay $350 and it covers the next three years of oil changes.

2021年6月21日 · BMW charges about 105$ for oil changes with synthetic.It’s fairly easy to do on your own if you have the jacks, but It’s fun going to the dealer too because usually they’ll do an inspection of your engine and other items for you at no charge so that’s always nice. Reply.

I know it's all relative but I find BMW maintenance cheaper than equivalent merc's. You can find oil change deals on your local dealers' websites or mailers.. they usually have 199 for 3 year deals. Additionally every alternate year brake fluid flush may be additional 250. Things like wiper blades etc you can do yourself.

Unlimited oil services for 3 years, at any BMW center in the country, so long as the car says it’s due. (For most models, that will be yearly or every 10k miles. If driving more frequently, can usually do it sooner.)
