Nice ancient ruins of a city, partially restored. Not too big. It was quite busy at the end of October. The highlight for us was the cute little beach in a small cove in the shade of the pine trees. … bakyti2023的完整评论

the general area splits into aspects which might enable disabled access to those which definitely would not. unfortunately the parts which are not accessible are those areas specifically related to the ruins. there are beach areas to the north and south of the ruins which might work, but that said none of the ground running from the car parking areas through to the beach areas are specifically prepared to facilitate such as wheelchairs but at least they aren't as rutted and full of obstacles as experienced as you get into the main area of the site. I guess it depends on the nature of the mobility involved. Perhaps walking aids might be able to manage much of it, but chairs I would say would definitely struggle and be more or less unmanageable
Hello, the site looks beautiful, just wondering how big it was and whether there is alot of steps. As I will be travelling with my 20 month old boy I am not sure I can use his stroller there ? Thanks

If you go to the main bus station in Kemerovo which is by the clock tower you can get on the number 8 bus. Sometimes the buses do not have numbers so look for the place name of Phasilis on the front of the bus. Cost is about 7 lira for two people each way. The entry fee is 20 lira each. There is a bit of a walk from the entrance down to the site. Lovely little bays so you could take a picnic and go for a swim. Take shoes that can go in the water as beach is pebbles but water is beautifully clean. Hope you enjoy your visit we did.
Can ruins be reached by rental car and is it well sign posted? Can one go between the ruins and the funicular nearby to go up to mountain on same day? Would it be better to check into a hotel and uses their transportation to go to the 2 sites? . Does anyone know of a car rental company that would allow rental in Antalya and drop off in Kas?

Hi, Where can you get a bus to the Phaselis ruins from? Trying to find out if I can see the sites via public transport, as I do not drive. Thanks for your help, Alison

Hi Alison, we got a cab from Camyuva, where we stayed. The cab waited for us for 4 hours and it cost us £30 (with a tip). As there were 4 of us this was pretty good value. I did notice that there is a bus stop immediately outside the entrance to Phaselis and there are a number of bus stops in Camyuva, Kemer and Belek, (presumably all the other surrounding towns too), and they run pretty regularly and are quite cheap. You can ask at the hotel or ask if they go to Phaselis when the bus stops. The nearest town is Tekirova so if necessary you could get a bus to there and another one to the ruins. We had a lovely time there.
