Sat Nav takes you to the tea rooms , only open fri sat sun road has lots of pot holes woods and water falls nice to walk through , more signs would be helpful , as can loose your bearings hoiliday的完整评论
I have a young toddler no found the parking at the tea rooms seemed not to be too near the trail. Does anybody know a better way to join the trail as she isn't a competent walker? Apparently there is a play area near the ponds? Would I be better off starting at the lodge on station road or packing on a main road and working my way in? She won't walk far any help much appreciated. Alicia

you probably will be better on station Road other than that masseycroft next to the kick pitch could also be alot easier

Healey Dell is a beauty spot and wildlife sanctuary rich in industrial archaeology, two miles from Rochdale town centre on the way to Whitworth and Bacup.The River Spodden has carved its way through the woodlands down thousands of years, creating delightful scenery and spectacular waterfalls which once powered ancient corn, wool and cotton mills. A disused 1800s railway line is now a nature trail with magnificent views from a 100-foot high viaduct. The Healey Dell Heritage Centre now offers visitors a unique experience with its recently opened Victorian themed tea rooms with English cream teas served in vintage bone-china. The Centre offers a permanent exhibition featuring a pictorial history of the Dell. There is a Fairy Grotto where children can meet the Healey Dell Fairy Godmother and so much more. Car parking is available at Broadley Wood Lodge, off Station Road and at the Heritage Centre. The tea rooms are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and all Bank Holidays from 10am.
